A powerful magnitude-7 earthquake struck the northern Philippines this morning.
Local news media reports one person was killed when the magnitude-seven quake hit the province of Abra.
Hours later, a magnitude-4.4 quake jolted the city of Tayum also in the province.
Authorities reported landslides in the area footage from social media posted by officials showed extensive damage to buildings and roads.
