Brou Lake Campground

This free camp is right on the lake and the beach. What an abundance of wildlife!  We had been looking forward to seeing an emu in the wild and we were treated by having one walk right by our campsite! We also saw one taking a walk along the beach 😍. There were goannas wandering around, fish we hadn't caught or seen before and possums that kept us up all night clambering around on our roof 🤣.

Leon went down to the lake to try his luck at prawning and instead discovered the water was bioluminescent! When you walked through the edges or threw sand into the water it literally glowed. What an amazing sight.

The fishing was out of control. We caught ten huge bream, a flathead, a trevally and two australian salmon! The kids have both started to be much more interested in fishing and I'm proud to see them showing real patience and the excitement on their faces when they bring one in is so awesome to see 😁.
