"Russia teamed up with U.S. special forces to execute its first joint anti-drug raid in Afghanistan - the first time Russian security forces entered Afghanistan in over 20 years.
The forces raided four heroin labs near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, seizing $250 million in narcotics.
The raid reportedly cost the Afghan drug mafia $1 billion in losses, according to Viktor Ivanov, Russia's anti-narcotics agency chief.
About 70 Russian forces provided intelligence information regarding the heroin labs' operations.
""This is graphic evidence of an ongoing reset in Russian-American relations, and there is potential to do much more,"" Ivanov said."
