Spinach King was established in 2011 by Lufefe Nomjana , from the RAA UCT graduate school of business. And now the company is expanding rapidly, from Cape Town to Johannesburg. We have now opened a new branch in Maboneng, Cnr Kruger st and Main St, Johannesburg.
The aim of the company is to promote the consumption of spinach by producing innovative spinach products. Spinach contains all six major classes of nutrients and it is one of the most highly affordable vegetables in the world. Spinach King wants to make this nutritious product more easily accessible.
In the video you will see the founder and CEO himself (Lufefe Nomjana) and his right hand man, Benjamin Nengwani in the streets of Johannesburg, creating awareness. And promoting healthy living.
"My neighbour agreed that I could use her oven during the evening if I was out of the kitchen by early morning. I only had R40 capital, so I started by baking three loaves of bread per night and going around the community during the day selling door-to-door.
