So this is a teaser video I guess, before I set upon my exploration of more coal holes! Coal holes are not found everywhere in London, more specifically around more expensive town houses which have a cellar frontage, and steps down.
I'm going to be off exploring to see if i can find more designs and document them properly.
Interestingly they are round, because a disk can not fall through it's hole, where-as a square could I think...
It also shows of times gone by and how many iron mongers and blacksmiths there were around. A london gone by....
