We typically see no reason to defend our self-assured state of mind. We've been bullish on the notion of bold, flavorful, artisanally produced beer long before the masses caught on and began to flock like moths with particularly good taste to an insanely bright and attractive flame. Thanks to our naturally inquisitive and adventurous style of brewing—big hops, big flavor, big wood, etc.—we've been ahead of the curve at nearly every turn in the dramatic American craft brewing revolution. Case in point, our black India pale ale, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale. One of (if not THE) first black IPAs produced and bottled year-round, it remains one of the best examples of this dynamically hoppy and roasty styles anywhere. Bringing it to our fans ahead of the pack made us feel great...about us. So, we named the beer after that feeling—Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale. Enjoy this video followed by some of the beer and you're bound to find your own sublime sense of self-righteousness.
