Sold for $23.8 million U.S. dollars, the largest flawless fancy vivid blue diamond in the world.
It was bought by American jewelry chain, Harry Winston and will be called 'The Harry Winston Blue'.
Not only did the stone get the best price per carat ever at auction for a blue diamond, but the entire sale also broke records, says Christie's chairman, Francois Curiel.

"This was tonight the most important jewelry sale ever organized by any auction house in the world with 138 million Swiss Francs ($154,193,622 USD). So, it's a proof that the market for jewelry is extremely strong"
And further proof is that 27 lots sold for more than $1 million U.S. dollars each.
