Petaluma’s Historic Downtown Warehouse District (locals call it the Warf District) with The Foundary Warf Commercial business building as the centerpiece and on the banks of the Petaluma River, this funky neighborhood is within walking distance to a wide array of restaurants, delis, and cafes, gyms and yoga studios, walking and bike trails, and many public transit options, including the new SMART train. It is in downtown Petaluma and you are close to everything if you live here.
In the 2000's many upscale condominiums went up with two and three stories. They are centered in the square neighborhood surrounded by foundries, factories, a feed mill, and the older houses nearby which have been here for many decades.

Downtown Petaluma is centrally located at the heart of the North Bay accessible by commute from Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties. The SMART train is projected to commence service in 2016 and will ultimately connect Downtown Petaluma to 14 stations between Cloverdale and the ferry terminal at Larkspur Landing.
