Gene "Bean" Baxter was another one of the great air personalities from 104.7 KZZP in Phoenix. This is from when he was doing afternoons in 1988. Many of us back in the day could air a phone call on almost every break. Gene Baxter was one of the best.
Gene Baxter would team up with fellow KZZP jock Kevin Ryder for the Saturday Night Patrol, which lead to them to mornings on 106.7 KROQ in Los Angeles.
Included here in the classic joke we all stole from Baxter, when a caller asks, "When is the Top 8@8?"
