The mandate and privilege of stewardship encompasses everything that we have access to. It is the management of the things God has entrusted in our care: material possessions, our children, our time, our service and giving to others. In this 2-part series, we will only focus on personal stewardship and our accountability to God to be wise in how we handle HIS resources. He gave us dominion over what we oversee for the explicit purpose to manage it according to scripture.
The Church of Jesus, Memphis was birthed with a mandate to preach the uncompromising gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We stand on a foundation of holiness and righteousness in the midst of a dark and perverse world endeavoring to exemplify the love of Jesus offering hope for a world that is hopeless.
God is One. (Deuteronomy 6:4), Jesus is the fulness of God and beside Him, there is no other. (I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 43:11; Genesis 1:1).
There is one plan of salvation: Repentance, baptism by total immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ and the infilling of the Holy Ghost speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (John 3:1-5, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-5).
One also must live a sanctified life (Hebrews 12:14). We continue to submit to His will and learn of Him as we become His disciples.
We are determined to love God, love people and make disciples.
