By using examples from Ingeus experience of supporting people into sustainable work in the UK, France, Germany and Sweden the presentation examines how active labour market policies can support more people into employment. Active labour market policies can respond to the needs of individuals and employers by ensuring that at each stage of the employment programme design and delivery the focus is on ensuring sustainable employment and complementary and coordinated service provision. The presentation also looks at how labour market supply and demand can be better harmonised highlighting examples of emerging good practice in the UK.
