Zenith Zoysia from SEED - 35,000 square feet

This is a review on how to plant a lawn from plugs using the ProPlugger. I will be harvesting DIY grass plugs from my existing Zenith Zoysia lawn and transplanting them to a bare section of my lawn. Once established, they will take root and spread to fill in the bare area. This is a much cheaper alternative to seeding or sodding.
When you plant a lawn from plugs, it will take some patience for the area to fill in. The more plugs you put into an area, the faster it will be covered. Once you have a large enough established Zoysia lawn, you will have a big area to harvest plugs from. Simply back fill the holes with dirt or sand and you can continue the process for years to come.
In my experience, plugs tend to be more resilient to drought than seed or sod and therefore less care needs to be taken to keep them alive.
