April 7th has been designated "National Beer Day" in celebration of the signing of the act that ended prohibition in the United States back in 1933. So that makes today, NEW BEER'S EVE!! Alex Meixner is providing the music for your hoppy libations with a medley of some of the greatest beer songs of all time!! In heaven there is no beer ( Im Himmel gibt’s kein Bier), More Beer Polka and Mei Bier bist du Schön and concluding with Ein Prosit. Prost!!

Alex Meixner is one of the most dynamic accordionists on the scene today. Meixner has performed around the world, notably at American festivals like The National Folk Festival and Central Park SummerStage, as well as at uncountable community celebrations and accordion-centric events. He has worked with Jack Black on the Sundance-screened, Netflix movie "The Polka King", with Post Modern Jukebox, and as an on-screen spokesperson for Hormel Pepperoni. As a recording artist, Alex has collaborated with renowned avant-garde accordionist/ composer Guy Klucevsek, popular Irish entertainer Seamus Kennedy, Texas indie rockers The Krayolas. He is a 2005 Grammy Nominee for "Polka Freak Out", his co-led album with Brave Combo's Bubba Hernandez.
