On this 2007 BMW 328ix, we replace the self-adjusting clutch. Once we got in there, we also changed the dual-mass flywheel. This battle starts out with removing all the ground plates and undoing the exhaust. Next, you undo the drive shafts and drop the transfer case. Finally, removing the transmission.
It was quite a job to get to the clutch!
Resealing and changing the fluids while we are this far in only makes sense, as was changing the flywheel.
With everything functioning correctly, it was time for a test dive!
Enjoy this lesson, and we hope it helps you with your own BMW clutch job.
