THAMES NEWS. 3.9.87.HOUSING, WESTMINSTER COUNCIL MEETS TOMORRows demand by selling off as much council housing as possible . Targets are 11000 homes for sale, about 1/2 of their housing stock. The argument being selling off whilst offering grants for private purchase will free up more housing. This is all the while 800 families are in B&Bs and 10000 people on housing waiting lists.
