The highest ranking official in the Catholic Church to be sentenced for covering up child sex abuse has avoided jail.
Former Archbishop of Adelaide, Philip Wilson, will serve his 12-month sentence in home detention, after the court was told he suffered from the early stages of Alzheimer's disease.
But abuse victims are demanding tougher penalties following the sentence.
