*It's time for CRAFT THERAPY.*
*Let's Be Craftee Today !*
"Crafting is putting ideas into action and then holding them together with an inexpensive adhesive".
Keeping the same in mind, a visit to National Craft Museum was organised for the students of Class IV on December 21, 2022 i.e. Wednesday.
The National Handicrafts and Handlooms Museum commonly known as National Crafts Museum in New Delhi is one of the largest crafts museums in India. It is run by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. There are various Galleries in the National Crafts Museum Delhi. The display of multiple items in the galleries and carving on wood or stones are worth sightseeing. The Bhuta Sculpture Gallery, Folk and Tribal Gallery, Textiles Gallery, Village Complex, Wall Murals are some of the main highlights of the Craft Museum.
*Museums are ideal spaces for young children to learn.* They allow children to explore their interests through authentic objects and hands-on exhibits. Museums also provide early learners interactive and multisensory opportunities, an increase in critical thinking skills, historical empathy and tolerance. They also helps to exhibit important cultural, artistic, historical or scientific artifacts.
The learners had essential takeaways from this visit from different perspectives. They visited the Museum as a part of their school curriculum.
On the appointed day, we set off from school at 9: 45 am for our destination. The students were very excited.
In this Museum, they have learned how things were done, what life looked like and even what people wore and did in the past.
*Museums teach us about the past.*
It was a rewarding experience packed with both learning and fun for our young learners!!
