This pillar kit is for a Ruger American rifle on a Boyds Stock. The pillars are 6061 aluminum. You will need to drill the mounting holes on the Boyds stock fit the pillars and you might need to file or sand down the pillars (depending on the stock). This is the first step in pillar bedding the stock and replacing the plastic hardware provided with the Boyds Stock.
