This tune was birthed out of a feeling of empowerment. As I get older, I'm realising that I was walked over an awful lot and that there were people in my life that I gave my love/time/energy who didn't deserve it. This song is about taking those moments and walking away without damaging yourself because in a short while, it'll be a distant memory. 5 More Minutes for me was about self worth and power and taking it back.
Working alongside Newton and Rich was such a pleasure and such a breeze, too! Yes of course they're both sensationally talented and hard working but they're both so easy to get on with and make this whole music thing look like a walk in the park! I'm truly grateful to even be a part of their circle. Having them work on this song with me is something I'll never forget.
