It comes day after DGCA Issues Fresh Guidelines For Aircraft Maintenance and passenger safety. To maintain safety oversight, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the aviation minister, has met numerous times over the past three days with representatives from airlines, his ministry, and the DGCA. "DGCA is not a policing organisation, it's the airlines jobs to follow DGCA's regulations," says Mark Martin, MRAeS, Founder & CEO, Martin Consulting.
