A suspect has been taken into custody after police foiled an apparent assassination attempt against former US president Donald Trump.
The suspect has been identified as 49-year-old Vem Miller and was intercepted around 800 metres from the venue before Mr Trump arrived.
Mr Miller was stopped at a security checkpoint in Coachella, California, late on Saturday afternoon, in a black SUV, according to police officials.
