SOUNDPEATS TrueAir2 - Unboxing and review after Tested on Two Smartphones and a PC.
Touch Controls:
Excellent! Nothing more to say. Works exactly as expected and very easy to get used to. (Much better than TaoTronics Soundlibery 92)
Sound Quality:
- For MOST PEOPLE 8 or 9/10 any day of the week
- For AUDIOPHILES 6/10 when compared to good WIRED headphones (which isn't a fair comparison). For TWS this is about as good as it gets, and when thinking in terms of the £30 range, so maybe a 7 or 8 /10.
Mic Quality:
- If speaking straight into the phone is 10/10, then this is a solid 8 (which is very good). Again, about as good as it gets in this price range for TWS. To compare, the TaoTronics SoundLiberty 92 would be a 4/10 in my book (i.e. I would not use them to have serious telephone conversations).
Build Quality:
- The CASE is where the corners have been cut, but this is minor and does not affect the recommendation. Cheap materials have been used, but they do the job.
- The HEADPHONES are great quality build, good ergonomics, a few of the edges could do with smoothing up as you can feel them a bit when putting them on and taking them out.
Connectivity:
- Very long range, stable connection. No issues.
- Can use either headphone independently
- Dual Mic Per headphone
- Easy Pairing - Connects to devices after you lift the headphones out of the case, which is my preference now compared to pairing starting when the case is opened (which also adds to the cost of manufacturing)
- No issues on Android and Windows 10 Devices
Battery Life:
Reasonable. Not too short, not too long. After use, put them back in the case and you won't notice the battery life for better or worse.
Things to note:
- There is a faint hiss that I can hear although it doesn't bother me much. The hiss is only audible when there is no media playing but the headphones think that some audio will start to be played. This may bother some people, but I can live with it due to it being TWS.
- No battery indicator on case, but of course the Battery Level will be visible on your device next to the Bluetooth Logo (e.g. on your phone Phone)
