Is Eddie Brock always in pain because of Venom?
We know the bond causes extreme damage to Eddie in the movie. Just after a few days, scans showed Eddie’s heart severely deterrorioate. The reason why Eddie does not perish is because the symbiote grants him a healing factor to recover from such damage.
Eddie directly says he is not in pain when Anne asks in the first film but does list the negative repercussions. He says he is hungry ALL the time and the symbiote is “always” talking to him.
In the original stories, Spider-Man indicated that the suit made him feel great but there was an unsuspecting side effect. He was often physically exhausted and would sleep hours longer than originally intended.
So while the host is not in pain, and sometimes even feels good, it is doing untold damage to the host while also healing them at the same time.
