In this short video can you see how the 2x xlr output of a mixer can go into the Atem using a little cable. You see it through a 600 Ohms 600 Ohms (DI) Transformer but if there are no disturbances the transformer is not needed in between. ATTENTION: Be sure to switch the ATEM microphone input to "line input" in the Atem control software when you use a mixer or other output device. Only if you use a microphone directly into the Atem, then set it to "Microphone".
Note that the signal is balanced between the mixer and the (DI) Transformer. So if the mixer is far away from the Atem, then this setup can be used to safely transport audio over longer distances by placing the (DI)-Transformer close to the Atem. Just use long xlr cables to get from the the mixer to the (DI)-Transformer. You should not plug in the little convert cable into long xlr cables directly as the total length of all cable would not be balanced. You always need an "balancer" (In this case the mixer) and an "unbalancer"(In this case the (DI)Transformer box) to have a balanced transport of audio over a cable. Please note that my (DI)-Transformer Line isolator is 600 Ohms input and 600 Ohms output. Some (DI)-Transformers are 60 KiloOhms input, 600 Ohms output and those need a rather substantial more signal brought in to work.
