For Tom, picking up his sparkelele and putting on his drag look meant exiting a comfort zone, and entering a new world where he could shine as Sissy Chanson.

Tom's drag name is a reclamation of an insult familiar to many within the LGBTQIA+ community, its use now brings him power and helps him spread joy.
