We made a test purchase from 3reelabels.co.uk for some 80mm x 80mm Thermal Rolls and some 57mm x 40mm Credit Card rolls.
These rolls arrived with us in plain packaging, without a box, with no paperwork and no email / text advice of tracking. They were left outside of our premises in a puddle of mud.
Takeaways from this video:
Credit card rolls (UK supplied) from Till Roll King are 13.3 Meters compared to 9.1 Meters from rolls that we have purchases from 3reelabels.co.uk
80mm Till Rolls from Till Roll King will give you approximately 72 more receipts per roll than the same rolls from 3reelabels.co.uk - That's 1,440 receipt more per box!
Check your order and ensure that you have been charged the correct amount of VAT, VERY IMPORTANT! On a total purchase of £21.65 we were charged £2.95 VAT instead of £3.61 so there's something going on with their system.
Check the description - if your supplier is telling you that the core is 12.7mm and sending you rolls that have a 17.5mm core (as we received from 3reelabels.co.uk) then that is false advertising and you have the right to return them for a full refund (including carriage both ways). You should also report anyone with sharp practices like these to advertising standards.
GENERAL NOTES ON BUYING TILL ROLLS:
Check that your supplier is selling you BPA free paper - if not, they are breaking the law.
Till Rolls made from thicker paper are not better - they simply contain less roll length of paper and can put a strain on your printer.
Thicker rolls can also leave deposits on your printer leading to mechanical breakdown.
The thicker the internal core the less paper there is on the roll.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING AND DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!
