At least my 10th visit to Fort William in my life and this time I wasnt there to film trains! Good job with how the weather was, but when I saw that 45407 was out on Jacobites I needed to get it on film as I have not seen it before up there. So here first up we see 45407 at Mallaig Junction working the first Fort William to Mallaig service of the day. I wasnt going to film this but the rain eased literally a minute before.
As I was in the area I took the opportunity to see the other Jacobite working, which had the other Black 5 on, 44871 and that is seen departing Fort William on the 2nd run, with the weather slightly improved.
Just for the record I hoped to see 45407 on its return run at Banavie but the weather got the better of me and I didnt bother. Maybe next time if I am ever up that way again and its there........
