My standard test, dry sand, wet sand, and dirty pond water. This test is MEANT to make guns fail, a concept people failed to realize about my Glock videos lol. My goal is to see what makes it fail, and how badly it fails so I can know my weapons' limitations. We hunt in Georgia swamps, bogs, and marshes, shit happens and you can easily get sand/dirt/mud on or in your firearm easily.
Pistol test videos so far:
Springfield XDS (.45): Dirt: Pass, Mud: Fail, Clean with water to make function again: Pass (not on video..)
Gen 3 Glock 19: Dirt: Pass, Mud: Fail, Clean with water to make function again: Pass
G19 Second Test: Sand: Pass with malfunctions, able to get working again, Mud: Fail, Clean with water to make function: Fail. Had sand in striker channel, striker would not ignite round. Had to completely disassemble the slide to get the pistol functioning again.
Taurus Gen 1 24/7 Pro (.45): Sand: Pass, Mud: Pass with malfunctions, able to get working again. Did not need water or disassembly to get the pistol to fire reliably again.
Sig P320C (9mm): Sand: Pass, Mud: Fail, Clean with water to make function again: Pass. **side note, when clearing stovepipes it was ejecting live rounds, just like some Army documents have shown the M17 doing during testing.. Aside from this torture test the gun has been 100% reliable before and after the recall
I've never said my Taurus (or ANY Taurus for that matter) was perfect, I've had to doctor a magazine to make it function reliably. But damn if the thing doesn't just work when I need it. I've had it for over a decade and have shot more hogs than I can count with it.
I sold the jammomatic Glock 19 😄. To be fair it only jammed when it got sandy or muddy.
