If you're using shop-bought harissa, you might want to start out with less than 450g and increase the amount to taste. For best results, taste test your sausage before stuffing into the casing: set aside 1 to 2 tablespoons of the sausage mixture just before chilling. Form the mixture into a little ball, flatten slightly, then cook in a frying pan till no longer pink in the centre. Taste and adjust the harissa and/or salt, if necessary.
