Following a previous light test run on the 15th January 2019, there were two minor problems discovered on 45596 with the TPWS system alongside an axlebox running warm. Which these now fixed a little later than originally intended, 45596 was booked to run two test run on the 31st January, the first being the Tyseley-Stratford line with support coach and the second being the Tyseley-Leicester-Castle Donnington-Burton-Tyseley circular.

With a heavy frost on the ground and in some places snow too, I decided to venture out to see her at three different locations.
My first shot sees 45596 slowing for a danger signal at Whitlocks End, caused by a late running Class 172 DMU, The second shot sees her accelerating through Hinckley, getting to the location wasn't easy due to Overhead Line failure in the Rugeley-Lichfield area.

The final shot of 45596 sees her passing through Burton-on-Trent on the slow line with the return run to Tyseley.
