The people, history and natural resources of Gandiol, Senegal. Only 18 km from St. Louis, Nestled between the Delta of Senegal and the National Park Langue de Barbarie; Gandiol is a small fishing and farming (onions) rural community learning to participate in the sustainable management of its natural resources. It is an endangered paradise between the Atlantic Ocean and The River Senegal with an indigenous people that is struggling to maintain dignity and a traditional way of living.
