One of the most feared torture methods used in History was the oubliette, a small and tiny dungeon found inside of Medieval Castles. The oubliette was a hole in the ground where a prisoner would be locked in and simply forgotten. It was truly terrifying, and a prisoner would be left to succumb to their fate and they had no chance of getting out.
But inside of one of England's greatest castles, there was a terrifying oubliette found inside of a torture dungeon and this was known about across Europe. Today we go into this dungeon and we go and explore the oubliette and it's dark history.
