With a final mighty kick, the bull sent Mason, but not before he reached back and grabbed a fistful of fur - he had made the buzzer. The crowd went wild as Mason jumped to his feet, fist pumping triumphantly. This was Mason's element, and he was born to be here.
Mason Lowe, a professional bull rider, tragically passed away on January 15, 2019, during a competition in Denver, Colorado. He was competing in a Professional Bull Riders (PBR) event at the National Western Stock Show when the incident occurred.
Lowe was riding a bull named "Hard Times" when he was bucked off. After being thrown, the bull stepped on his chest, causing severe injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, Lowe succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident. The PBR community and fans mourned the loss of the talented rider, who was known for his skill and passion for the sport.
This tragic accident highlighted the inherent dangers of bull riding, a sport where riders face significant risks every time they compete. Lowe's death was a stark reminder of the bravery and dedication of professional bull riders, who constantly put their lives on the line for their love of the sport.
