It is about a month later now, June 2020...
I sowed lots of Astrophytum cactus seeds (and some other cactus seeds, also shown in this video as well).
I'm updating on the growth progression and also what detrimental things have happened... Some seedlings dying off.

Astrophytum are a learning curve and I've found they appreciate being out of the zip lock bags a lot SOONER than other cactus seedlings I've grown and too much humidity is detrimental. I noticed this last year in 2019 and had yo open zip lock bags sooner and they perked right up.

Also I'M ALWAYS WASHING SEEDS from now on no matter what 😆. This way I'm 100% sure I'm doing everything possible for the germination process.

I always sterilise soil media and pots as a matter of course, so had I washed those seeds perhaps a few less die back of seedlings might have occurred although you always get some casualties.

Why I chose not to wash the Astrophytum seeds is beyond be! 🙄
