Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Thursday signed the ordinance to cut salaries of government employees. Earlier opposition Congress and BJP have asked the Governor not to give his nod to the Left govt decision to cut 6-day salary of employess for the next five months in the wake of Covid-19 crisis. The government was forced to bring ordinance after Kerala High Court stayed its order. Reeling under severe financial constraints the government is planning to cut ₹2000 crore through this.
