It's not uncommon to find your older Ctenanthe or Stromanthe prayer plants sending out one or several long stems from their base. This may seem alarming at first, but don't worry: it's a common way that those plants propagate themselves in the wild and I'm going to show you how to do that in your home as well with my Ctenanthe lubbersiana.
