An ICU, also known as a critical care unit (CCU), is a special department of a hospital or health care facility that provides intensive care medicine. USSH has a 20 bedded ICU with 10 medical beds, 5 surgical beds and 5 isolation beds. USSH’s ICU is also equipped with a dialysis unit for critical care patients- severe sepsis, sepsis shock, complicated angioplasty. The hospital follows through and meticulous COVID protocol; it is even safe for patients without COVID.
