Final Trip of the Manly Ferry Collaroy! Today was a sad day for the Manly and Freshwater class ferries, when they lost the Collaroy to withdrawal (not confirmed retirement). Her survey expires on Friday the 29th of September (which is like the rego on a car) so she was withdrawn a couple of days earlier. She will be moved to Cockatoo Island where she will await her future fate. Today we are joined by other ferry enthusiasts, staff, and commuters. Collaroy certainly didn’t finish the day without a great sendoff, with numerous horn battles, and an impressive amount of people who showed up to prove that Collaroy is worth saving.
