(1 Dec 2015) Refugees and migrants arrived on the Greek island of Lesbos on Tuesday.

The new arrivals included people from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, as well as some ethnic Kurds.

The 28 EU leaders were leaning hard on Davutoglu to stem the flow of migrants as they seek to ease the impact on Europe's heartland.
European Council President Donald Tusk said the latest estimate showed that "approximately 1.5 million people" had illegally entered the EU this year, many coming through Turkey.
