It was one of the most notorious cold cases in the region – the murder of 24-year-old Lisa Ziegert in 1992. In 2017, 25 years after the brutal crime, the Hampden District Attorney’s office announced the arrest of Gary Schara. Last week, in another major development, Schara plead guilty to first degree murder. Last week, Carolee McGrath sat down with Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni to hear his perspective on bringing the case to a close after more than two decades.
