Thanks guys for tuning in! I hope this video tutorial comes in handy this Christmas season ;) I have been meaning to make a cake decorated with just chocolate ganache for a long time! Speaking of, please see the recipe below for your dark choc ganache:
GANACHE RECIPE:
1k kilo grams dark chocolate
500 grams heavy / whipping cream
Melt these together in a microwave for 30 seconds, stir to combine. Zap for a further 15 seconds and combine until all is melted and incorporated. If the chocolate hasn't melted completely, zap again at 5 to 10 second intervals. Try not to overheat the ganache or this may cause it to spoil over. Allow to set in the fridge for half an hour.
In total, I used about 6 Ferrero Rocher chocolates in this video. I would recommend keeping the gold paper on for decorative purposes and place around your dessert. It definitely adds a pretty, Christmas touch and ties in very nicely with the gold leaf!
In these video tutorials, I normally use Bakels Premixes to save on time.
(Bakels is a bakery grade cake premix. Another great one is Allied Mills)
