No Longer Available - "Margarita" is a 2013 bay Thoroughbred filly. She is 15'2 hands but she still has a ton of growing and filling out to do in the next three years. She has an old bow that happened last may. It has healed and she has run on it twice but her owner feels she is better suited to be a show horse. He does not want to push her so hard that she might bow again. Many competition horses have had bows and gone on to jumping careers and even to the Olympics. We would rather see her go to someone who will take her training slowly and do low level jumping in the arena rather than on uneven ground as in eventing. She would be a lovely dressage horse as well.
This is a super, super, super, nice kind mare who could do Western pleasure, equitation or hunter under saddle. She is one of the kindest well mannered mares I have ever had the pleasure to be around. She clips, ties, ships and stands patiently for the blacksmith. She is not aggressive at all.
"Margarita" loves carrots and will come when you call her name. Everyone knows her on the track and all stop to pet the kind sweet filly. She is broke to a mounting block and you can jump mount her from the ground. This is a special filly looking for a special person.
She is sound and a beautiful mover. Look no further if you are looking to go trail riding tomorrow. Her owner and exercise rider jumped on her from the ground no leg up halter and shank and rode her around while horses were in training. How many of your show horses would be that quiet?
"Margarita" is laid back and very easy to ride. She will go forward when asked and stand still for as long as you want her to. Because of her bow we do not feel she would be suited for heavy jumping as in eventing but 3 foot hunters should be fine - given a little more time for the bow to set permanently. We want her future to be long and prosperous and to remain sound as well. Look no further if you are looking for a life long friend. She does crib when fed and wears a cribbing strap.
