Uploaded to record our local history, this short video made up of pictures shows the demolition of the Beehive Store in Busticle Lane, Sompting, West Sussex. The first shot shows the convenience store, including Post Office and Chemist, in what is believed to be the 1920's or 30's. The store remained in business, including the Post Office, up to the late 1990's although the chemist closed in the 1960's? Demolition finally came in September 2008 with plans to build flats, although this has taken several years to come to fruition, the final shot of them building these flats taken in 2015.
