Pour ¾ parts water into the first large glass container, and then add ¼ part muriatic acid. ALWAYS add the water first followed by the concentrated acid. Fill the second glass container with water & baking soda. Using metal tongs dip one shell at a time into the acid solution for a few seconds and then rinse. Use gloves, goggles, and a mask in a well ventilated area.
