About the Speaker: Amy Alamar, Ed.D. is the Director of School Partnerships at Girard Education Foundation, where she works with K-12 schools on integrating Activate Instruction, an interactive, online curriculum tool. In this role she incorporates best practices with teachers, administrators, parents, and students to increase engagement with learning. Amy has worked in the field of education as a teacher, teacher educator, researcher, and reformer for over 15 years with a focus on under-resourced students, curriculum design, and constructivist education. Amy has experience in classroom instruction (elementary through higher education) and facilitates parent education and faculty development workshops.
