UN weapons chief Richard Butler held a first round of talks with Iraqi officials in Baghdad on Saturday (13/06) on his "roadmap" for Iraq's disarmament. The two sides ended their three-hour meeting without making any statements to reporters. They were due to hold a second round of talks on Saturday evening after a meeting of technical experts from the two sides during the afternoon, UN officials said. Butler is heading an 18-member delegation from the UN Special Commission on disarming Iraq which flew in on a five-day visit Thursday (11/6). The Iraqi delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz, Oil Minister General Amer al-Rashid, Foreign Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf and presidential adviser General Amer al-Saadi, the official news agency INA reported.
