Buick is a brand that doesn't get a whole lot of recognition for performance, but when looking at this car, it's easy to see why they should. This 1970 Buick Skylark is a truly stunning car, fitting a massively powerful engine under the hood and being dressed in a gorgeously striking color combination. Powered by Buick's giant fire-breathing 455 C.I. V8 getting air through a 4-barrel carburetor, this '70 Skylark is more than capable of torching its rear tires. Torque is put to the pavement through a smooth-shifting 3-speed automatic transmission, allowing for fantastic highway cruising. The exterior bright red paint looks beautiful matched up to this Skylark's distinct black decal rally stripes and additional black "hockey-stick" side stripes that run the length of the car's straight bodylines! Tasteful gold pinstriping compliments those stripes, and "GSX" tribute decal graphics and badging give a clue as to what lies beneath this Buick's hood. There's some light bubbling on the left rear quarterpanel, but overall, the floors, frame, trunk and jambs are all very solid. Opening the twin doors reveals a spectacular brown vinyl interior, which is in sensational shape complete with comfy bench seats that are perfect for long-distance drives. Options on this incredible Skylark include power steering, power brakes, an Offenhauser intake manifold, a heater + defroster, a B&M "T-Grip" shifter, a SunPro built-in tachometer, under-dash aux. gauges, an original AM radio, a hood-mounted tachometer, a GSX rear spoiler, and a menacing-sounding Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Keeping to the car's period-correct look are some Buick 15" Magnum-style wheels over B.F. Goodrich RWL tires for an appearance that's straight out of a 1970 Buick advertisement! GSX tribute or not, this Buick really does run, drive, and sound like a dream. This is a tribute that's done right, with a superb attention to detail right down to the placement of the decals. This '70 Buick Skylark isn't long for our showroom floor, so don't let it pass you by!
