A new report from the United Nations says Afghanistan's Taliban rulers are carrying out public executions, stonings and other types of punishments. The UN calls for the practices to end, saying they violate human rights. Taliban officials say the penalties are in line with Islamic law and have overwhelming support among the Afghan people. This as a Christian non-profit group says the Taliban has issued death threats to more than 600 families in Afghanistan simply for being Christian. The CEO of the Christian non-profit Biglife, John Heerema, joins to tell us about this report from the United Nations and whether it mentioned the Christian families who are receiving death threats. Heerema shares how his group heard about these families and in what ways they are trying to help them. He gives us an update on how the work is going and what comes next for these families. Heerema fills us in on where viewers can go if they would like to help.
