Big news out of Bologna, Italy and Frankfurt, Germany: Autopromotec and Automechanika, two massive international automotive aftermarket shows, will return to their respective pre-pandemic schedules. The two shows issued joint news releases today to the members of the media.
Autopromotec will begin in odd-numbered years and Automechanika in even-numbered years. This makes the next Automechanika Frankfurt Sept. 10-14, 2024 in Germany, and Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy, from May 21-24, 2025. In addition, Autopromotec is introducing a new event that will take place Nov. 16-18, 2023. Organizers say that event will focus on the transition from ICE to electric vehicles. The new event is aimed at manufacturers, component suppliers, dealers and buyers and focuses on the challenges facing the entire mobility industry, from the energy transition and sustainability to new business models, Autopromotec says.
“By restoring the balance between these events, we will avoid additional stress for companies that have already been put to the test,” said Renzo Servadei, Autopromotec CEO. “At the same time, we are making it possible for them to participate in both of our trade shows, creating considerable positive energy for everyone involved.”
Michael Johannes, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt and Brand Manager Automechanika, said, “We are delighted to announce that we have achieved a common understanding with all involved parties… Numerous personal conversations with our international network helped to pave the way over the past few months. This will help everyone in the automotive aftermarket to optimize their planning.”
