🗣️ Orit Hofshi begins by drawing directly onto pinewood panels, which she carves by hand, engaging deeply with the wood’s natural qualities. Hofshi then prints these woodcuts by hand, rubbing large sheets of paper with a wooden spoon, avoiding mechanical presses. Her work often incorporates themes of alienation, displacement, and the human condition, with frequent imagery of solitary figures in desolate landscapes.
